La Vanguardia has featured Bettair in «Salud & Vida» (Health & Life), its special supplement on public health. Measuring the air we breathe accurately is also a way of protecting our health.
LA VANGUARDIA«Salud & Vida» · 19 October 2026 · p. 18The Spanish daily La Vanguardia published its special supplement «Salud & Vida» (Health & Life) on Monday 19 October, opening with the theme «Public health under review». On page 18, the supplement carries the story «Bettair receives nine awards at AIRLAB», about the results of the air quality monitoring technology developed in Barcelona.
It makes sense for Bettair to appear in a health special. The World Health Organization considers air pollution one of the main environmental risks to health, and the first step to reduce that risk is to measure it with reliable data.
What La Vanguardia highlights
«The devices developed in Barcelona achieve the best overall results in real-world tests».
According to the newspaper, Bettair, a technology company in which dnota holds a stake, won nine awards at the fifth edition of the AIRLAB Microsensors Challenge 2025 after demonstrating the highest overall accuracy and consistency in air quality measurement across three continents.
Its technology, already deployed in more than 100 cities in over 30 countries, outperformed 47 other models in independent tests.

The AIRLAB tests were carried out in very different climatic and environmental settings. Bettair achieved the best overall result in all four:
Measuring the air we breathe is the first step to protecting health.
From environmental data to health
A monitoring network only adds value to health when its data lead to decisions. This is how it works:
Measure
Bettair nodes continuously record gases, particles and noise.
Understand
Validated, comparable data showing where and when air quality worsens.
Act
Mobility, urban planning or protection measures at the most exposed locations.
Protect
Less exposure for residents, pupils, patients and workers.
European HARMONIE project
La Vanguardia also highlights Bettair's participation in HARMONIE, coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), which develops digital twins and artificial intelligence applied to the environmental impact on health.
Cities already measuring to live better
A public health issue
La Vanguardia's supplement focuses on prevention as a core strategy of the health system. Air quality fits squarely into that approach: knowing it accurately makes it possible to anticipate, protect the most vulnerable and assess whether measures are working.
For dnota, being part of a health special confirms that air is no longer just an environmental issue.
