Challenge

New York faces critical air pollution levels driven by heavy traffic, industrial activity, and urban density. The city needed an innovative technological solution to monitor air quality in real time, with georeferenced data across distributed locations. This information was essential to bolster sustainable urban planning and enable rapid responses in complex environments such as Queens and the Bronx.

Solution

As part of the Environmental Tech Lab 2024 program, dnota AirQuality Corp deployed 8 solar-powered bettair® IoT sensors at strategic locations in Queens and the Bronx. These devices measured in real time NO₂, NO, CO, O₃, particles PM₁, PM₂.₅, PM₁₀, as well as temperature, humidity, pressure, and ambient noise. All data were integrated into a cloud-based platform for automated alerts, visualization, and analysis.

At a glance

· Red híbrida: 8 AQMS + 10 nodos Bettair.
· Compatible con LEZ a partir de enero de 2025.
· Cumple las normas CEN/TS 17660-1:2021 de precisión indicativa de la monitorización de gases.
