El Prat airport environment presented high levels of pollutants due to air and ground traffic, affecting both the urban environment and exposed personnel. It was crucial to have an accurate and operational network that would allow continuous air quality monitoring, detect critical episodes, and respond quickly. Furthermore, local training was required to ensure the sustainability of the installed system.

Dnota implemented an integrated network that combines advanced updated and IoT sensors (bettair) in strategic locations within the airport and surrounding area. The system enables collection of data in real time about various pollutants, generation of reports periodically and immediate access to information. The training of airport staff in the use and maintenance of the equipment ensures the sustainability of the service.

Continuous air monitoring enabled reliable real-time data to be obtained on key pollutants (NOx, PM10, PM2.5), improving environmental surveillance. PM2.5), improving environmental monitoring and facilitating informed decisions by the authorities.
