ammonia analysis is an analyzer that uses, as its basic principle, the light produced in the reaction of nitric oxide (NO) with ozone (O3).<\/li>\n<li>Mode 1: While operating in NO mode, the sample is mixed with ozone in the reaction chamber. This reaction produces a characteristic luminescence with an intensity directly proportional to the NO concentration.<\/li>\n<li>Mode 2: In NOX mode, the sample passes through a molybdenum converter which reduces the NO2 present in the sample to NO. This is then transported to the reaction chamber where the sample is measured as NOX (NO+NO2).<\/li>\n<li>Mode 3: In the 3rd mode, the sample NT is passed through the stainless steel converter, where NO2 and NH3 are converted to NO. These are then measured as NT (NO+ NO2+NH3).<\/li>\n<li>The software subtracts NO from NOx and NOx from NT and provides NO2 and NH3 outputs respectively.
